You See Yourself is an ongoing series of portraits of black women, girls and non-binary people. It moves beyond the idea that 'you need to be able to see us', as posed by re:present, to the recognition that 'we need to be able to see us'.
With these photographs, I hope to add to the ever growing archive of photos reflecting the people still too often absent in visual representation. The project is made up of shoots specific to the series, while also encompassing my wider portfolio.
